LiveLung Charlotte explores proton therapy

CHARLOTTE – Daniella James, director of nursing for radiation oncology at Levine Cancer Center, will explain the role of proton therapy in lung cancer treatment during the next LiveLung education meeting.

Attendees will learn how proton therapy differs from traditional radiation therapy and why it represents an important advancement in cancer treatment.

“Proton therapy is a modern form of radiation treatment that gives doctors another way to fight cancer,” James said. “It offers exciting possibilities to improve results and reduce side effects, helping patients receive safer and more effective care.”

The meeting, which includes a complimentary lunch, will start at 11:30 a.m. March 10 in room 205 of the Covenant Presbyterian Church fellowship hall, 1000 E. Morehead St. Lung cancer patients and their care partners can register at livelung.org/meetings/charlotte or call 877-311-5864.
