MONROE – South Piedmont Community College shared some of the 2025-26 achievements of Anson County Early College.
During the 2025-26 academic year, Anson County Early College students took 821 South Piedmont courses. Of those, students passed 690 with a grade of C or higher, resulting in a pass rate of 84%. The course pass rate has climbed nearly 15% since the 2022-23 academic year.
The 2026 Anson County Early College graduating class included 50 students. Of those, 30 students (60%) earned their associate degree. That’s up from just 37% in 2022-23.
In other signs of increasing academic achievement, 18 of the 2026 graduates earned a certificate, and 12 earned both a degree and a certificate. Both measures are up considerably from 2022-23.

Anson County Early College is located on South Piedmont’s L.L. Polk campus in Polkton. It gives students the opportunity to simultaneously earn their high school diplomas and college credit, helping them to accelerate their education while reducing the cost.
